PREPOSITION OF PLACE

 

Preposition adalah Kata Depan dalam Bahasa Indonesia

Terdapat beberapa jenis Preposition sesuai kegunaannya.

misal:

• Preposition of Time : Kata Depan yang digunakan untuk 

    menunjukkan waktu

• Preposition of Place : Kata Depan yang digunakan untuk 

   menunjukkan lokasi atau tempat

• etc

Kali ini kita akan belajar tentang Preposition of Place atau Kata Depan yang menunjukan lokasi atau tempat.

Preposition of Place menjawab pertanyaan dari kata tanya Where.

Secara umum terdapat 3 Preposition of Place yang sangat sering digunakan, yaitu:

1. at = posisi berada di satu titik/point

2. in = bendanya berada di tempat tertutup

3. on = benda berada diatas permukaan dan menempel

Perhatikan contoh-contoh berikut:

2. The ball is between the box and  the bear.

Ada beberapa Preposition of Place lain, misalnya:

• above

• below = under

• beside = next to

• close to = near

• over

 

Bagaimana cara menggunakannya? 

 

Perhatikan contoh-contoh berikut:

 

The ball is on the box.

The ball is between the box and  the bear.

The water is in the bottle.

 

Pada kalimat diatas kata yang yang ditebalkan adalah Preposition of Place.

Kemudian yang berwarna merah adalah Noun (Kata Benda) atau Noun Phrase (frasa Kata Benda).

 

Letak dari Preposition of Place berada sebelum Noun/Noun Phrase, atau dengan kata lain Preposition of Place selalu diikuti oleh Noun/Noun Phrase.
